There were some great PJ shows in the mid-'90s. I agree that they sound great now, but there is something raw and powerful about some of the stuff from '95-'98.

Thanks for the tips, guys. I bought three of the official boots from 2002, was it? Whatever it was, I know I had Tokyo and another show with an absolutely terrific I Got Shit and Untitled. Anyway, my entire CD booklet was swiped from my car about three weeks later, and I am STILL (though just about done, finally) trying to remember/rebuild the 200 or so CDs I had in there.

Coincidentally, the only CD that wasn't taken was the one in the car's CD player: Ten.

yeah but the sound quality for most of it sucks. plus 1995 might be their worst year ever. jack was having a hard time getting accustomed to the band, ed sounded the worst he ever has, and they were just in a terrible place that year on so many levels.

Yeah, I think I might try doing every show I've been to which is pretty much every ATL show from 2002-2009.

Have you ever heard any of the Monkeywrench Radio broadcasts from '95? The quality is not bad at all, and a couple of those shows are actually pretty damn good.

I've also noticed so far that at the end of every Recently....Dave starts strumming the Water into Wine opening, but then ends abruptly.

I've listened to D&T '96 and '03 straight through over a few weeks and March '99 in order... but that is nothing compared to '99 to present. I'd get so sick of it by the end of '99...

I hope you keep us posted with your progress in the Rate a Show thread, that'd definitely be interesting to see.

i've heard all of them i think. ed's voice ruins it for me, he was going for broke with the screaming and his voice was shot. not to mention i really can't stand jack irons drumming, and i know i'm in the minority on that. he played way too simple. he damn near ruined every single RVM performance.

if that is what is starting to break you down, there's not a chance in hell you make it through a month of 2001.

great guy and i'm pretty sure ed would blow him daily if possible, but man his drumming was terrible. no one could touch abbruzzee or cameron.
