Butch is not going to show up. If he didn't come to the band's 25th, I don't see him coming to this either. Knowing DMB, Butch will play with the opening bands and be in attendance but won't come up or guest on a single song.

I have not heard anything about the band doing any kind of benefit at all. Makes sense that it would be something they might do, but I feel like it would have been announced by now if the plan is to have it this month. I also don't like the idea of the band going against the idea of a "break". A break = no shows in 2017. I want to see them stick to that to be honest. Come back strong in 2018.

Wonder if anything is ever going to come out of the Nauts album? That was finished back in 13/14 I believe and got far enough along if they were setting up shows, twitter accounts, etc. before it went dead. Brady Blade is even on record commenting on it.

The band playing a one-off benefit show has absolutely no impact on whether they come back "strong" next year. I like your positivity because I don't see them coming back anything but the same, if not more broken than the last 2-3 years.

I think the benefit show performances would be subpar because they're out of practice and probably won't practice much at all for it. Whereas for the 2018 tour I imagine they'll do tour rehearsals and plan some stuff.

Easily one of my favorites, that line especially, no problem saying it's one of my top 3 Grey Streets.

In response to the recent events in their hometown of Charlottesville, VA, Dave Matthews Band will host an evening of music and unity that will be FREE for members of the Charlottesville area and University of Virginia communities. The event will take place on Sunday, September 24, at UVA’s Scott Stadium in Charlottesville. Doors open at 3:30PM.
“A Concert for Charlottesville” will feature Dave Matthews Band, Pharrell Williams, Justin Timberlake, Ariana Grande, Chris Stapleton, The Roots, Brittany Howard of Alabama Shakes, Cage The Elephant and special guests.
Tickets will be allocated initially to residents of the city of Charlottesville and the adjacent counties, and also to UVA students, faculty and staff with a valid University ID. An online ticket request period is underway at [Only registered users can see links.] and will end on Monday, September 11th at Noon ET. A limited number of tickets will also be available at a walk-up, no service charge box office at John Paul Jones Arena, on Friday, September 15th at 10AM ET.
Please visit [Only registered users can see links.] for tickets and information.
While tickets are free, attendees are encouraged to make a donation to the “Concert for Charlottesville Fund” at the Charlottesville Area Community Foundation. Beneficiaries of the fund will include victims of the events in Charlottesville on August 11 and 12, and their families, first responders, and organizations devoted to the promotion of healing, unity and justice locally and nationwide.
Visit [Only registered users can see links.] to make a donation.

I watched Marc Maron's new Netflix special. His bit on Dave Matthews fan guilt, is pretty spot on.
