Right. Forgot about that one.

Weirdly enough pretty much everyone has forgotten about that one and instead focuses on games that happened 2 and 5 years ago. Like they give any indication of how this game could go. Those playoffs games Pats didn't have a defense that hadn't given up a 2nd half TD in straight 6 games to end the season not to mention they did it 2 other times this season. And the Bengals, Broncos, and Bears TDs in the 2nd half were basically garbage time TDs which Belichick was just running a vanilla D scheme.

2014 NFL Thread

I like the Ravens's style of play a lot more than I like their team, but I hope they march into Gillette and knock the Pats in their teeth.

I'd also love to see Luck head to Denver and knock off his predecessor.

Wow, DET really taking it to DAL! As surprised as I am, I can't say I'm remotely disappointed.

Dallas does Dallas.

If Dallas hadn't roughed the kicker, Detroit wouldn't have kept the ball. Glad Detroit made good and scored.

With the terrible half that it was for the Cowboys, a 10-point deficit is a small victory at half. We're lucky Romo isn't on a cart somewhere.

Ok, continue the hate now...

As much as I hate the Cowboys, I have just as much faith in the Lions to blow this game.

After watching the games this weekend it's pretty clear none of these teams look good enough to beat their upcoming opponents. Ravens are hot but this is the best patriots team since 2011 when they went to the Super Bowl. Colts looked good today, but that Denver defense is much tougher and you have a Peyton Manning who can come back from any kind of deficit (though he hasn't been great historically in the playoffs).

Dallas will get their teeth kicked in. GB in Lambeau with the packers having a whole week to rest up? Forget about it.

And Carolina is dreadful and shouldn't even be in the playoffs. Their defense is their saving Grace but they'll get worn out having to chase around Wilson and lynch the whole game.

Eh, Cowboys won't get their teeth kicked in. I'm not saying they'll win, but they played awful yesterday and know it.

I expect them to respond with better execution next week on the road against a defense that isn't as strong aS Detroit's.

I feel better about them taking their perfect road record and the best runner in the league into the bitter cold at Lambeau than I would if Rodgers came down here and was given a pristine dome environment, quite honestly.

Speaking of "perfect" home environment, I couldn't remember how many times I chuckled to myself as I saw all sorts of light peeking into Jerray World during the game yesterday. You meant to tell me that with ALL that money being thrown around to build that monstrosity, they couldn't orient that stadium to where the light wasn't always a factor?! At one point, Romo was facing right into the light at one end of the stadium...the shot they showed on TV was ridiculous. Nice job, Jerry.

Yeah, that's been a known factor of stupidity around here for a while. They mention it on just about every telecast. Complete idiocracy.
