The last concert I went to was before covid was Toro Y Moi in Detroit I think in November last year. I walked up to the merch booth and asked them if they had any cds of his new album. The gal working the both looked at me with a blank stare, laughed, said I was the first person all tour to ask for a cd, then she pointed me to the cassette and vinyls .

Me too, but I'm in mine all the time. I have this irrational fear that the all clouds will be hacked and everyone's shit will disappear and everyone is fucked but me because I have LT 54 on disc along with Golden Girls on DVD.

Of course because my collection is CDs the vinyl people AND the digital people all turn their noses up at me

Ever since I moved into our house and had kids, I despise physical media. I had a huge CD collection that was such a pain to lug from one place to another I just tossed most of it. And with DVDs...who has the time? Digital is the only way to go.

I buy Live Trax and other DMB for the collection, and some special boxed sets especially if not on Spotify like Dylan bootleg series. But regular new CDs, no. If it’s something I would have bought a CD for then I’ll maybe I’ll get the vinyl.

I have all the Live Trax's thus far for completionism reasons, but aside from that no I don't buy music physically unless its vinyl.

These LT are the only physical discs I buy. Their download manager is that bad.

I ordered the CD as well. Prob the first LT CD I’ve ordered in a few years. That said, I still own around 700 CDs and have around 300 records as well.

Yep, and if you F up and click it the wrong way, you have to call/email the warehouse to reactivate the link which takes 48 hours for them to respond to.

the download manager sucks, but i've never had an issue with the zip download option now that they've introduced that
