![]() I want that night 2 stage setlist to complete that setup so badly. There's no chance, though. Got the other two on eBay randomly in like 2009. I think I got them for $30 and my bid was way way overkill as I knew those were the only ones I'd have a shot at. Crazy how different night 1's set was from printed, then night 3 is the same. Would love to have the IEM to know what happened. There were guitar problems before Last Stop, and they had to bring Dave out a new guitar. But the setlist went off the rails way before that. If I had to guess, before Warehouse they decided to do the Warehouse > Ants later that they had done in Columbus and it just went sort of improv from there on. |

just started this. excellent seek up.
Mix-wise, it feels like the stereo thing should work, but Roi is way higher than Boyd (thankfully!) but it gives it this weird imbalance where it feels like in headphones there's a heavy lean to the right side. Tim's a bit quiet on his fills for Seek Up. I'm excited for the rest of this.

Thats awesome. Having the actual setlist is incredible. Only thing that would make this better would be a Dave guitar Pick, Carter Drumstick and a Boyd pube.

Rapunzel with Butch 2002 is tops. But to each their own, all good.

Holy shit yes, 12/30/93 is an all timer. One of my personal favorites, that Set II is so good ![]() That is awesome. Great pick, LT34 is a low key favorite of mind and is probably in my Top 10 releases to this point, it's a really good listen. |

So... I gave this a full headphone listen. A lot to like about it. Really interesting to have the beginning to end of tour comparison of Tim's playing. They definitely kept him pretty low in the mix. He has some great moments. Lie in Our Graves. But in comparison to 4 weeks later, even, he's generally mellow by comparison to like 11/30, for example. No divebomb/pitch shift effects on DDTW, for example.
Interesting to hear them kind of trainwreck the end of crush, but have carter really kind of go off to bring it back and end together. Boyd was reasonable by fall 98 standards, and I actually enjoyed parts of his seek up and graves solos.

Oh! Best Buy exclusive 4K boxed set. I think it’s still the only way to get a handful of them in 4K.

A couple songs in, and enjoying it so far.
I'm surprised by how little I've noticed Tim at all, especially compared to the other shows released from Fall 1998. I can barely hear him most of the time. Maybe a mix issue. Looking at the set as a whole, it's kind of crazy that they only played 1 song off UTTAD, given they only had 3 studio albums at this point. It's only 13 songs total, clocking at 2 hours exactly. I feel like they should've played at least 2 more songs (older ones off UTTAD or R2T). Though I guess that applies to the whole tour since every show was pretty low on the song and song time counts.

One thing about especially 98s and 99s that is lost in released shows, is that they took for fucking ever between songs and Dave retuned himself. So much dead time between songs.

The Boyd solo on this LIOG is not very good, IMO. No skrees or anything really, just a really uninspired, monotonous boring solo. He's also using this chorus effect (i think?) on his violin that isn't doing it for me.
Tim's solo also feels unusually choppy and simple for him.
