Part of the reason I love the LT 47 graves is they just gave the whole solo to Bela. Wish they’d done that in 98 too.

Maple Leaf Gardens Toronto '98 was always a great one, if my memory serves me correct! As an 18 year old, I listened that to 100 times.

Dont get me wrong LT47 is top notch, but i feel like ones from 2002 on were incredible too. They were almost on another level with roi playing at the crescendo of the jam. Thats the one thing i think is missing from LT47.

Need to hype 6/13 as my favorite 97 LIOG. It was the first one I heard so I am partial.

"Cool, a 1999 SBD! And it's a Gorge show, this has to be good!"
*hears LIOG solo* "Oh God, no, make it stop, make it stop!" |

Is that the same show as his abysmal last stop performance? Some euro festival performance?

Would love to get a release of it but Dave yells at the crowd a few times and I suspect that might prevent a release. |

His graves solo in germany from that 98 show is one of my favorites ever yet every other song from that day might be his worst ever

Yeah, he generally mentions some guys pushing and jumping up front, apparently there was a girl that needed some help after getting knocked in the head.
It's fun Dave speak, worth checking out if you haven't heard it before IMO, and I'm sure it could be easily edited out of a release. Even of all the great '97 shows, that one has always stood out to me. |
