What I believe happened here is there was doubt that the Flecktones would all be available for all of Labor Day weekend and DMB management went ahead and started booking other acts and by the time it was confirmed for the Flecktones availability there was only one slot left that weekend. And for that reason alone, it could very well mean at the very least Bela and Victor could be there all weekend. We will know for sure very soon though. I look at it this way, I've never been to Gorge, haven't seen the Flecktones open for DMB since 2006, haven't even seen a Flecktone guest spot since 2013, a second non-album tour year in a row bodes well for "big venue" setlist variation, Robert Randolph is a lot of fun live and if I'm ever going to the Gorge and spending any kind of money I'm sure as shit going to do so with any combination including The Flecktones, whether it's one night or three. I'm not going to contradict myself from earlier posts. I'm disappointed with the lack of openers, so the few that I truly want to see and will be worth my money (along with the experience I've never had in going to The Gorge), I will gladly call this year as the one to hit up Gorge. Watch next year the Flecktones open up all three nights and it's this giant epic weekend that I skip because I went one year too early. ![]()

Fucking hell, never thought I'd see a DMB summer tour without Alpine, Camden and Hartford.
Switching Hartford to Mohegan Sun is a no brainer, wish they would have done it years ago because I literally live 5 miles from the casino. |

I actually went out to Pittsburgh to see the Hold Steady open that show, then got a call the night before to meet and greet Dave pre-show and missed the THS set.

No Alpine and no Colorado puts me in a bind. Albuquerque is my closest show but it's a Wednesday.
Gorge is really tempting with Bela. Might just have to make it happen. |

Didn’t even realize Irvine got a new Amphitheatre. Thought it was the same one they always play at.

Any Gorge experts have any advice on when the airfare is cheapest? Very high prices right now but maybe it stays that way due to holiday weekend?

It's always a huge hit. Is what it is. A plunge you've gotta take to make it out there!

That Durant venue is small, like 3,000 seats, have they been doing that lately?
I live in Tulsa, so it is 3 hours away, but seeing them in a smaller venue could be pretty cool.

Strange how some shows are listed at 7:30 and others 8:00.

Cincy (or surrounding airports Dayton, Columbus, Louisville, Indy). My issue is I need to head back on Monday and that's a peak travel day. Southwest and Frontier haven't released flights for Sept yet so I'm hoping once they do that the prices may come down slightly. I don't mind paying the $550 but I just hate overpaying for things. |
