9/10 songs Dave wrote from 91-04 were pretty damn good. From 05-18 I'd say it's been more like 2/10.

I was standing at the rail with an eighth of shrooms in my tummy. He undoubtedly debuted the song then. I remember people walking away from the show saying they felt like they just watched an All-Star game. D&F owned Bonnaroo that year (actually is was probably Trey because he played with TAB and several other acts that weekend).

Yeah for sure. Even ED has some good songs on it. My point was that his ratio of good to bad songs was much higher, I don't think anyone on here would really argue that.

![]() That Tinley GGT is worth a re-visit, Carter's drum intro is pretty cool and they got away from that pretty quickly. |

"Little Thing" from that Dave & Tim benefit show in November 2016.
Shame what that song became. |

It's really An Another Thing, but the "Little Thing" opening N2 in Chicago last year D&T was cool as hell. I'll never pass up an opportunity to hear that one live, just hearing Dave play those chords gives me the goosebumps.

I haven't heard that performance, but the some devil recording is basically just vocalizing and I think that's one of daves finest vocal performances.

for me the tape I had of D&T at UNH in 96 ruined every version of 'An Another Thing'

I've never been a huge fan of "Little Thing" really. It was always pretty much an incomplete idea/song..like #40. You can hear the potential in it, but it never sounded like a finished song to me. Even An' Another Thing (which is as close to finished as it gets), is really more like a jam/interlude. Basically I could take it or leave it. Would be cool to hear live one time just to get it off the "bucket list" but I'd be fine not hearing it. If I had to pick one, the Live At Luther once is still my favorite.

Just started this one. Only change was cutting DDTW from the encore.
![]() Excellent Dreaming Tree opener with a long intro; fairly flawless Everyday and Say Goodbye with a LeRoi Sax intro after Carter's drum intro. Caught me off guard and I really liked it. Eh Hee sounds better than I remember it. I'd love to see Buddy give this one a shot on the piano after the break this year.

I have never heard a Say Goodbye with sax on it, so I'll be checking that out.

The Warehouse from this show is legit, too. Grazing in the Grass interpolation.

4.7.02 was always my go to from that tour.
For 04, 10.5.04 is always the one I come back to. |
