I'm not a huge fan of his overdriven/distortion tone when he plays with the band, but otherwise I have no complaints. He always knows what to do and what to play, and he has his own unique style which has always been a little avant-garde and a little silly at times.

Tim is amazing. His tone on some songs is my only real complaint as it occasionally is completely at odds with the vibe of the song. But he adds a great level to the band and I can't picture them playing without him at this point.

My complaint is that he defaults to shredding for most DMB solos nowadays. #41, warehouse, YMDT, crush, etc

Wish he'd play the acoustic with the band every once in a while. Would solve that quickly.

The fact this hasn't happened once kind of blows my mind.

You'd never hear him over Carters loud obnoxious playing these days. It's hard enough to hear Dave's guitar as it is. Between Carter and Rashawn there's not s lot of room to fill in. Two acoustic guitars in a full band setting just wouldn't work imo. But they basically did that with the acoustic sets. They still played the same volume but Carter played a smaller softer kit and it was so much better being able to hear everyone. If they go back to that setup and crank the volume overall I'm down. But they won't.

Iíve been listening to this tour a lot lately. Nothing new to add really, just that this is the Dave Matthews I fell in love with and relistening takes me back. Top to bottom great shows. Ďtwas a magical tour.

This show has a lot of nostalgia for me as well, when I found the online community in '04 this was one of the first tapes I picked up and I played the shit out of it. It's really just incredible from start to finish, Dave is in his finest storytelling form and the audience is incredibly receptive. Tim is so good. The setlist is just perfect. I know there is stiff competition (Luther, Prism, LT23) but this is probably my favorite D+T release which is saying a lot.

It’s so great to have this show. I always seem to put it on after going to my GFs parents house either thanksgiving or this year for Christmas. It’s the perfect show to set on for a long drive after a busy weekend. Such phenomenal playing and unbelievable set list.

The Santana spot in 3/14 is obviously awesome, let's call that and Last Stop a wash, then comparing the rest of 3/13 to 3/14 and they aren't in the same ballpark for me. I like 3.7 quite a bit more than 3.14 and the Seek Up is on the level of Last Stop, but still the rest of the show isn't all that close to the rest of 3/13 for me.

To me, this is a top 5 D&T of all time with 2.6.96, 2.19.96, 2.21.97 & 2.22.97.
When I listen to this I always get excited to hear the last stop (which is perfect btw) but then I get sucked in and listen to that run of crush, Stone, LIOG and the rest and Iím blown away at how good this show is. It just totally holds up all the way through.

I just backread the thread and a lot of talk about the mix early on, but Iíd say I think it sounds fantastic. My only complaint is the change in volume throughout the show. In between songs itís way too soft but I bet with headphones itís totally not an issue.
