Post-reception. They usually end around 9-11pm or so, from what I'm used to. After that? Head out to the closest bar and shut it down with your real friends.

Jeeze -- I've never been to a wedding like that.
It sounds like a cool idea on paper, but the number of people willing to stick it out until 2AM probably isn't worth it to keep the bar "open" (since they usually charge you as if the entire guest list is going to keep drinking the entire time). |

I am fine with being a long distance Uncle, although I sometimes miss seeing my nieces and nephews growing up. In town I have some friends with two young children, so that makes up for a bit.
Still, it's nice to not have any greater responsibility beyond being a friend. |

Haha, agreed. I have five nieces and nephews. What's crazy is their age range...the oldest is 19 (my oldest sister's son) and the youngest is 4 (my younger brother's daughter). When the family gets together I go from talking about wearing a rubber to one of them to talking about Dora the Explorer with the other one.

Yeah all ball busting and bitching about women aside, I do want to congratulate you as well, Jason. If it floats your boat then I'm happy for you.

![]() Yeah, I've got two younger brothers (21 and 19) and my gf is the youngest of 5, yet only has 3 nieces (all sisters, 7, 5 and 2). So nobody really has a head start on us. ![]() ![]() |

Ok, so I know I'm not married to her, but in many ways I consider her my family already. Irrelevant.
She STILL has her box spring on the floor under her mattress (sans frame). She loves it. I'm tired as fuck of climbing off the floor when I stay with her. Nothin I can do, just comin in to bitch. My marital bed will be ass-height, minimum. Hers, of course |

Wait, Jason got engaged on Black Friday in the parking lot of Best Buy? Could have at least waited until the ink dried on the Saltalemacchia contract.

I was thinking about possibly making the next step in 2014, but we'll see.
