This Last Stop is the perfect live representation of the studio version, if that makes sense. I too love the Bela versions, and if 12/5 is released ever, that will likely take the top spot. Until then, i love this crisp version. All about Stefan and Tim on the outro.
Honestly, other than Last Stop and a few other notables (Heartbeat-Rapunzel, The Maker) i rarely find occasion to listen. I remember discussion about Boyd overdubbing parts/severe edits to this thing? did that actually happen, and has anyone ever provided insight to that? just curiosity, really.

This is in my top 3 releases, despite the Boyd edits. It will always have a special place in my heart being the first live release I ever got. My go-to Last Stop

If I didn't have all the live releases mixed in, I'd just open it up to everyone. But I like sorting them all together and want to keep it that way. I like the folder structure.

I don’t think Dave says anything before ants. What are you referring to?

Dave's not exactly the type of guy to say "hey remember that molesting guy that played out of tune on a violin before? Well here's a better player"

hearing someone play a violin like that during the maker and ants was awesome. And thanks for the recording. the version I watched on Youtube was horrible compared to this. |

It was one of the SiriusXM streams that we got. I saw them as well in a super small and swanky theatre in Cincinnati really close. They were so good.

It’s interesting too, considering The Maker had only been played once since 1994 prior to this version. And that bust out came a show or two before this one. It’s crazy to think about now, because four years is barely a blip in their career now, but back then that was pretty major.

Yeah I absolutely love this show too. One of the very first shows I listened to actually, LS was the first, then this one, then RR. I just love how they sounded back in Winter 98 and the guest spots of Wooten on 41, Rutman and Maceo are awesome.
And yeah, I agree that this is the best released Maker of all time, perhaps best they’ve ever played in general. So smooth and Rutmans playing style is perfect on It, the way he and tim play off each other on the outro is gold.

LeRoi's playing on this Heartbeat does not get enough love. It's simply angelic.
