Absolutely true. Listening to 2011 or 2012 tapes and hearing how Boyd sounded at shows and then hearing AFTW... fairly close to night and day.

That’s a ton of butch. I think it’s fine for one show, but if it was every night and every tour that would get old. There’s just not enough room with butch doubling all of Dave’s parts.

I think what Steve's and others points are that when you think DMB you think Violin and Sax in a jazzy feeling song. While a Piano can be there it's a background player that is selectively featured.
