It'll be interesting to see how Anthony Rizzo pans out for the Cubs now.
Hoyer & co are very high on him. I still will take Rizzo over Alonso. As a Cubs fan, I'm excited right now.

Typical cards fan. Laugh all you want...I don't care.
Hopefully the Cubs are building something. Finally they are 100% committed to rebuilding. You can't laugh at their new baseball operation management (Theo, Hoyer, McLeod, etc) - all some of the top minds in baseball. And they've made some real good moves so far. The Rizzo for Cashner trade is a win. The Marshall for Wood trade is a win. Hell, it's pretty amazing that they were able to get Volstad back in return in the Zambrano deal.

wish the Braves would do some off season moves. I would love a power hitting outfielder. Maybe another starting pitcher, the bullpen as always is solid. I think it was a good move getting rid of Lowe, but Atlanta shouldn't move Prado and Jurrjens.

Been looking forward today for a while now -- I'm hoping to hear at 3PM that Barry Larkin has been elected to the Hall of Fame.
He was my favorite player when I was growing up and going to Reds games at old Riverfront Stadium. |

I'm starting to almost feel bad for Prince Fielder. He's one of the games best sluggers, at prime age, but doesn't have a big market for his services. Just a bad time for him to be a FA, with the Yankees and Sox both set at 1B, and Pujols having been a FA at the same time.
I think he ends up with the Nationals or Marlins. |

No reason to feel bad, he'll still be getting paid a ridiculous amount of money to play a kid's game. He's living the dream.

They are the perfect choice. A lot of personalities there now, and big opportunities for personality clashes. Ozzie Guillen, LoMo, Reyes and HanRam, Carlos Zambrano... |

Fausto Carmona arrested in the Dominican Republic for use of False Identity. His real name is Robert Hernandez Herida, and is 31 years old instead of 28. Makes sense a lot of sense as to why he was so good in 2007 - he was in his prime age of 26 (not 23) as previously thought. Time to cut the cord Tribe. Dude was the man though for real in 2007. Made Joba Chamberlain look like a fucking baby.
