Well as long as spencer is going reasonable and by that I mean feel personally attacked because I don't share his taste in comedy I'll continue discussing this...
What you guys are missing is I want to like CK, his style SHOULD fit my taste, but I can't get more than a few laughs out of an hour routine. Most of it just sounds juvenile, rubs me the same way Dane Cook does... just stating the obvious in his own way... except CK's way seems to be by just taking it over the top to the point that it just sounds forced. I'm going to find another one of his specials and give him one more shot. Obviously I'm not allowed to question him so I won't bother bringing it up again unless I suddenly have a change of heart, so we'll just leave it there. Also I'm not even close to the only person who thinks stewart is a shithead, but we're not going there. |

don't bother, his style hasn't shifted from one special to the other.
the last thing i'd think of when i think of Louie CK is over the top. he's a pretty measured performer. |

Still gotta fix the sig. btw is his show worth checking out even if i can't get into his standup? cause his general attitude toward the world seems on par with mine so i feel like I could get into something he wrote for tv...

Based on how you're handling my opinion I'd say that counts for little right now ha

It's worth keeping this going just to watch you lose it over a dude whose jokes are as clever as my dads. As if it takes talent to take an everyday aggravation, completely overreact to it on stage and call it comedy. Thanks for trying to convince me otherwise, but I prefer people that either tell jokes, or are at least have entertaining personalities.

do you just think the millions of smart people that think he's great are crazy? you're awfully confident for someone with an opinion that no one else shares.

Crazy? Not at all. Millions of people drink shitty beer, listen to shitty music, watch shitty TV... they aren't crazy, they just have bad taste.

I guarantee you Harmonik was and probably still is the biggest Carrot Top fan.

And I feel bad for forgetting Greg Giraldo on my list. His one special wasn't bad, but he was amazing in roasts, him and Ross both.

I'm interested to figure out how you arrive at "most respected comedian". If you're going by awards then I suppose Taylor Swift and KoL are some of the most respected musicians in the industry for winning the grammy's two years ago.
