DMB Family seems to think Danny Barnes will be joining DMB this tour.

Barnes did share some news on his facebook about a big announcement with Dave happening tomorrow.

Could be?

It'd be nice if this means we get openers this tour

I wouldn't hate it, but I think it's just people jumping to conclusions.

Per my source, AR is getting a late 2020 show in Rogers. That really works out great for me with my wife and I having our first kid this year in April. Can't wait!

Man, that would be a lot of people on stage.

Agreed. But remember, though, that until Butch left in early 2008 the plan was to have Dave + Tim + Carter + Stefan + Roi + Boyd + Butch + Rashawn, so this wouldn't *really* be unprecedented. I still think they have too many instruments already, though.

Except it didn’t actually happen, so it would be unprecedented

And even still, after people got done cleaning their shorts after the tim announcement, their next reaction was, “man that will be a crowded stage.”

Bit I agree with you. Get rid of Rashawn and Buddy, bring in a competent violin.

Ive seen this, i hate to agree, but it actually kinda makes sense. Barnes posted he has a big announcement coming with a picture of Dave, BUT he already told people he was in the studio with DM. Unless he doesnt understand he already spilled the beans on the announcement i dont really know what that will be about.

Barnes really contributed to songs during that late 2007 run, most people automatically think about the “Road” and “Caveman” Gorge spots, but the DMB songs he played on were all great.

With Tim playing the guitar parts, Danny Barnes slowly take over all the singing, and in two or so years Dave can finally realize his 30 year old dream of just doing goofy dancing all night.

I really didn’t want to go there but: fuck these people. Nurses make $100k/year with full benefits. I don’t feel sorry for them at all that they might catch a flu that’s not going to do anything to them. Such a stupid opportunity that they’re fully exploiting to jerk themselves off.

Honestly I've got to say I kind of welcome the banjo at this point.

They don't change things up very often anymore, so 2020 is likely to otherwise be effectively identical to 2019. I'm up for pretty much anything that makes the performances different than last year.

Also, I don't think it's true. He's probably just announcing a release date for his album or something.
