I dig early DMB (shocking, right?), but this release doesn't do much for me. There are only a few 92 shows I am a big fan of...93 on the other hand...

I just really think the mix does it for me on this because I'm so used to the flat and somewhat distant sound on those sbds and dsbds we have from those years and hearing the band high, clear, upfront, and the crowd is well mixed in, I think that's what pulls me in with this. Love it.

For this release, I've dialed back the bass and increased the treble all way to 10 and now, i'm enjoying this very much. Much more clear because the low-end is kinda muddled

I actually don't mind it. I know what you're talking about though, especially when Carter hits that kick-drum and it matches Stefan, it almost sounds a bit muddled at times but I really don't mind that. I mean their sound system was pretty low-end back then so we can't expect too much for these older shows.

Definitely audible throughout the release. On another note, I thought it was kind of funny listening to this and remembering that Dave has always had the 'play what we want to' mentality. Although perhaps he's more likely to tell the audience to 'kiss his ass' because of chants these days...(maybe not). Some things never change.

it used to piss me off, but there's a lot of artists with this mentality and i can kind of see where they're coming from so i can't really fault him for it.

Especially during Jimi Thing. What a hot performance too. One of the best I've heard from that era, almost as good as 3/10/93.

Holy shit, is this Boyd playing on Warehouse? I'd truly really love to know just what the fuck happened to his playing over time?

Peter's effects on these early Halloweens are embarrassingly hilarious.

This Lover Lay Down might be the nicest thing about this release.

listening to this for the first time tonight. thoughts so far

SMTS is really fucking good. a little funkier and bouncier. carter needs to be turned down more than a little bit.

i love the mix

if this true reflections was just an instrumental it would be pretty damn good.

this halloween... what the fuck is wrong with peter? in general he's like if you gave tim a shitty keyboard circa-winter '98 and told him to go nuts on it.

god damn those are some of the best full out dave screams i've heard in awhile. he really did used to put some singers who do that shit full time to shame.
