everytime this is topped I get butterflies. We have some great 92's (sbds, and sbd/schoeps matrix's), but I'm just really excited for this.

Would be REAL cool to one day get 11/17 considering what it meant for the community back in the day. There seems to be an effort by DMB camp (aside from a few obvious examples like Worcester 98 and NYE 96) to pick some real unknown shows which is great but I would love to see them acknowledge the community with their picks more often.

I think the last '92 show I listened to was 11/11. A good one.

Yea, a fun jam. With a lot of those '92 and '93 shows you can hear what Dave was talking about when he said concerts were just more or less parties when the band started

Totally agree... been wanting to get a pristine copy of 11/17 for a while. I kinda forget about '92 these days, but I'm looking to hearing what a '92 will sound like issued via DMBLIVE. good stuff

I'm in the middle of a move, so, coming across some old DMB tapes. If/when I find 11/11 I'll up "Boyd's Blues" - I've always called in the Last Call Jam, though.

I know it's close to this show but I wouldn't mind seeing 12/31 released if for nothing else but that Two Step.

Yea, that's a fun Two Step.

Just hopeful that this show lives up to the other stand-outs of the year

Awesome. Nice long show. No word really from the DMBLive blurb exactly why this was chosen but we shall see:
Quote:
12.21.92 The Bayou, Washington DC

We’ve dug deep into the archives to bring you the oldest and rawest show to date: 12.21.1992 The Bayou, Washington, DC. To our knowledge, there is no record of this show in the fan community or any seeded recordings.

DMB performed as the bar band at The Bayou during the holiday season in 1992 as evidenced by the sounds of the bar and holiday revelers on the recording. Peter Griesar was still with DMB during this time and his harmonica on So Much To Say kicks off the first set. Songs of note on the release include Pay For What You Get which quiets the crowded bar a bit, offering the other band members a chance to catch their breath and enjoy the soulful sounds of LeRoi’s sax. Two Step as the second set opener lights the crowd on fire again and the momentum continues with Help Myself which has an urgent energy to it likely due to Carter’s blazing hot drumming. The DC show ends with a little holiday nugget by Dave in the form of Christmas Song.

12.21.1992 The Bayou, Washington D.C. has been digitally mastered and is available in its entirety.
