I was downplaying 11/22/97. It's a stellar show. Makes me want to listen to the rest of Fall '97.

Is that 12/11/97 matrix different from the one that went around earlier this year when the DSBD source surfaced?

Gweeps get the "A Live One" version from 7/8/94. I'm sure there are "better" versions out there but this one is really good and a personal favorite. I finally "got" Phish when I was listening to it. It was ten years too late, but better late than never

Mersh, was DSOTM really performed because a lot of people weren't familiar with "Loaded"? I had heard that a few times.

I listened to this today. I liked it, it's a bit jammy for me and I'm not a fan of BBFCFM or Maze in general. I loved every other bit of it.

Mersh, I have the dsbd/aud matrix 10 year anni, which first off I dont understand how it's different than the new seed that just went up ([Only registered users can see links.] vs. [Only registered users can see links.] ) but would it be worth it to pick up just the straight dsbd? Which one do you prefer?

I have every version of this show that has been released. I'd say the most recent one is the best, but I honestly don't remember what the other one you posted is like. The dsbd is good, but kind of flat at times and you don't get much Gordon. The 10 year is more full.

My one fall show from that tour was 4 days later in Madison. Looking back, I wish I had the balls to make a run ... to have hit the 6th, and the Chicago shows on the 7th, 8th, and 9th.

*Acoustic; dedicated to Wendy and Lisa, two women whom Trey and Mike met the night before.
**Acoustic; with a "Freebird ending", similar to the 07-20-98 "Poor Heart." Trey dedicated it to the people at the Dead Goat Saloon, and talked about getting free drinks and karoake. He also discussed the band picturing what it would be like if the entire audience were on stage with them, with no one in the audience. So they played it with this image in mind.
^With a tease of the "Monkey Man" (Rolling Stones, from their "Let It Bleed" album).
^Narration was about Jimmy going to Las Vegas and finding it too crowded and crazy (may be related to Trey's walking off the stage during "Ghost" on Halloween, given his comment on how overwhelmed he had felt, followed by a comment that "everyone has an off night"). So Jimmy decides to hitchhike to Salt Lake City, and he rides with a driver listening to Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon." Thus, the section of "Speak to Me" through "Eclipse" is the entirety of that album.
