I might have already mentioned this, but Stash is incredible.
Could someone recommend a great live version, please? |

I was downplaying 11/22/97. It's a stellar show. Makes me want to listen to the rest of Fall '97.
Is that 12/11/97 matrix different from the one that went around earlier this year when the DSBD source surfaced? Gweeps get the "A Live One" version from 7/8/94. I'm sure there are "better" versions out there but this one is really good and a personal favorite. I finally "got" Phish when I was listening to it. It was ten years too late, but better late than never ![]() |

Mersh, was DSOTM really performed because a lot of people weren't familiar with "Loaded"? I had heard that a few times. |

Mersh, I have the dsbd/aud matrix 10 year anni, which first off I dont understand how it's different than the new seed that just went up ([Only registered users can see links.] vs. [Only registered users can see links.] ) but would it be worth it to pick up just the straight dsbd? Which one do you prefer?

I'm sure you've read this/listened before but it gives a little insight to it: 11-02-98 E Centre, West Valley City, UT 1: Tube, Tube Jam -> Drowned -> Jesus Just Left Chicago, Driver*, Bittersweet Motel**, Limb by Limb, Wading in the Velvet Sea, Sample in a Jar 2: Down with Disease, The Mango Song, The Moma Dance^, You Enjoy Myself, Harpua^^ > (Speak to Me, Breathe, On the Run, Time, The Great Gig in the Sky, Money, Us and Them, Any Colour You Like, Brain Damage, Eclipse) > Harpua# E: Smells Like Teen Spirit## Only about 4000 in attendance. *Acoustic; dedicated to Wendy and Lisa, two women whom Trey and Mike met the night before. **Acoustic; with a "Freebird ending", similar to the 07-20-98 "Poor Heart." Trey dedicated it to the people at the Dead Goat Saloon, and talked about getting free drinks and karoake. He also discussed the band picturing what it would be like if the entire audience were on stage with them, with no one in the audience. So they played it with this image in mind. ^With a tease of the "Monkey Man" (Rolling Stones, from their "Let It Bleed" album). ^Narration was about Jimmy going to Las Vegas and finding it too crowded and crazy (may be related to Trey's walking off the stage during "Ghost" on Halloween, given his comment on how overwhelmed he had felt, followed by a comment that "everyone has an off night"). So Jimmy decides to hitchhike to Salt Lake City, and he rides with a driver listening to Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon." Thus, the section of "Speak to Me" through "Eclipse" is the entirety of that album. #One verse sung twice; another omitted. ##First time played (Nirvana cover). |

sick, I was hoping this would get out.
but, after a quick look, is that haley's, ac/dc bag, and Curtain With the only unreleased tracks? Kevin Shapiro Intro Sanity (8/5/88) Dog Log (12/6/96 soundcheck; over Funky Bitch music) My Friend, My Friend (11/30/94) Runaway Jim (12/31/95) Halley's Comet (11/22/97) Stash (4/2/98) Bathtub Gin > The Real Me > Bathtub Gin (12/29/95) Tube > Dayton Jam (12/7/97) AC/DC Bag (9/14/99) Mike's Song > Crossroads > Mike's Song > I Am Hydrogen > Weekapaug Groove (5/8/93) Contact (1/3/03) The Curtain With*** Tweezer (11/28/94) *** Studio version from June 1987 at Mike's grandmother's house. Kevin Shapiro notes it had possible pitch problems and apologized for that.

I didn't think 12/29/95 was released was it? That'd make the Gin > Real Me > Gin unreleased as well.
Is this a preview of things to come? 11/22/97 and 9/14/99 would be great releases. |
