So something interesting I noticed. They added your actual WH join date to your profile on the WH boards, month, day and year. So now you can see where your seniority is against everybody else as you can sort members by join date.
Now the board says there are 42,548 members, but I'm not sure if that is just those that have logged into the boards or if that is total WH members overall. Seems low for total members though and I have a feeling it's just those members on the boards. Either way when I found my name in the members list there was 12,280 members in front of me for an Aug 2003 account.

I think it only has when you joined that board. I'm a first day'er, and the date they have for me joining the boards are August 05 |

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the "join" date in your profile is the day you joined the board.

Because if you sort all members by join date you have tons of people with December 03, 1998. I also looked up known good accounts and they were all December 3, 1998 and December 04, 1998. I don't know if they had boards in 1998 though.

You could sign up for the WH on December 03 at the MSG show that night.

I sorted by join date and usernames were all over the place. Who knows. Could be time based. Doesn't really bother me (as long as all the people in front of me stop requesting for the shows I want to go to.. I kid, I kid!) |

This is really only interesting from a pecking order stand point and coming back the a year form now and seeing if people with seniority has dropped out of the WH. That is if WH will even delete them from the boards.

RageATL posted about this in another thread but I thought I'd reply here. Curious if people are not renewing this year...
I am going to re-up this year but the decision (that I thought would be a life long no brainer) was actually there to be made. And, if I wasn't a 12/98'er I would not be re-upping. And, I admit even that is a dumb decision that I am only making as a CYA 'what if they finally did something cool with seniority and I missed it?" But, realistically, I don't use their website, I buy one or two releases a year from the store to save the 5% or whatever, and I haven't even opened an annual membership package in over a decade. The only real perk was the seniority, which they have totally stripped away. And as I only go to one show a year now even the ease of ordering isn't the big of a deal. My seats are best described as decent or 'good enough.'

I have to renew this month, as of now, this will probably be my last renewal. I only go to one show a year now, and the seats they give me, i feel as if i could do better on TM or the boards. The package is a waste and the CD is usually a one listen event. Not many reasons for renewal other then $35 is not that much $$ as it used to be. I'm a 2000 member.

I let mine lapse in March '15. Never had a problem getting tickets of an equal or better quality elsewhere, and I can easily find the WH disc on my own. Not worth it imo

Dec '98 member as well. Requested 12 shows this year, did not get pit for any of them. Only wound up actually using 1 pair and got the rest of my tickets from TM or friends. It's been getting worse each year, especially over the past 3-4.
Between the crappy tickets and the effort involved in reselling the ones I get from them, I shouldn't renew, but I still hang onto the hope that seniority will actually mean something again.

I've found I end up selling most of my WH tickets and buying through TM instead. Last year I got Loge for Irvine (as always) and the last row in the venue for Phoenix from WH. I managed to grab pit for Phoenix via TM and didn't even feel like putting in the effort to go to Irvine. But... I'll renew in the hope that some show will either be WH-only or something rare will happen that I really want to attend.

Somewhere mid 2000s, can't remember. I'd probably be hesitant to let go as a 12/98er myself to be honest. I felt like the first few years I had it I actually did very well for myself w/ tickets so it seemed worth it. But the last few years I seemed to always get shit and usually ended up selling them and buying elsewhere.

You have a better chance of getting good tickets being a Citi Card holder than having a WH account

So true. You gotta love the warehouse knowing they can pass garbage off on their most loyal fans because they force them to buy blind. Obviously citi gets better seats because those people actually have a choice to buy what seats they pull or not.
