Warehouse Fan Club Discussion - The age old Debate.... To renew, or not to renew?

well, its that time again. i have a day or two to renew with the WH and this is the first year that i honestly dont know if i should. last year i questioned it but knew all along I would.

Reasons for: seniority status. DMB may get good again.

Reasons Against: ill be in europe all summer and probably wont get to a show, i havent listened to DMb is probably 2 years aside from the shows that i go to, i have a buddy that is a first year that i usually end up going to most of my shows with.

sigh.

it's like me officially saying that im out out of this phase.

i have spent so much of my life with this band, and this group of people. not renewing is like saying im done, officially, with the whole thing.

wrigley is a guaranteed no.

35 isnt that much, i was battling back and forth with the idea of letting my membership slide. but it isnt like im not going to go to another dmb concert. i figured ultimately it was worth keeping... even if i just go to one or two shows this summer and perhaps a winter show if they tour.

Unless you're in a severe financial rut you might as well just renew it.

I was only a member for a year and then let it go. If I had the seniority thing going for me, I probably would have kept it going.

The $$ is probably worth it just for the boards though, I've gotten better tickets there than anywhere else.

Bah, now I'm slightly pissed I let it lapse

give me your membership...

if you go to at least 1 show a year, i cant see why it doesnt almost pay for itself. i wish i had waaay back when it first opened, but at the time i had great connections at the venues i was for sure going to at Smirnoff, American Airlines, Woodlands, Starwood....so i figured i would pass....now i wish i had. it would just be easier to get good seats the rely on my contact year after year.
