i know i'm crazy - but it just sucks to have a disc with only 30 minutes of music on it.
5 seconds between tracks at least to make it feel like a real concert, 10 before the show starts, and at least 30 seconds for guest intros and you're pushing over 79:30. No way they put out a disc like that. Central Park disc 1 is under 40. The fact that it reduces the release from awesome to pretty good is retarded.

because they often put together a nice run of songs or a special/notable performance...now you're just being an idiot.

there are tons of great performances out there from shows that don't necessarily deserve releases. Fillers are wonderful.

fine - i'll stop. i can see that i'm clearly the outcast on this argument.

i'm extremely, extremely anal about CD packaging...what can i say? i already emailed RedLight about it

i would never buy a live release with filler...never

The only e-mails they should get should be praising the release. That way they know Live Trax should be reserved for archival releases. Not e-mails that make them question why they should or should not make the right choices concerning the hardcore fanbase

Please, for the sake of the rest of us, never email Red Light again.

well, i definitely told them how excited i was about the release and what a great choice it was. i just broke it down for them, did the math, and asked them why they went with 3 discs instead of 2

hmm...good call. ok, i'm going to accept the fact that it wasn't possible to get the entire first set on its own disc, and that'll allow me to enjoy the show as a 3-disc release. sweet...i'm excited now.

I'm absolutely indignant that it's not being released on vinyl. I think I'm going to write Red Light a manifesto about it.

I think he was kind of a perma-guest, like Rashawn or Butch.

Thanks. So I'm guessing it was Bela, Wooten Brothers, and their old keyboardist, and from time to time McCandless would guest until Coffin joined?

I really enjoy McCandless' tone, a lot more than Coffin.

ah, they started Disc 2 with Two Step because that's where you get the introduction of Bela Fleck...that makes sense.

still, i wonder why they didn't put #41 and Minarets on Disc 3. interesting.
