definitely a better writer, but i feel like he's really coming into his own with clerks 2 and zack and miri. especially zack and miri i feel like was really well done. the scene where the title characters have sex was so well done.

Really dug it. I haven't seen it since it's theatrical run, but I plan on picking it up soon on Blu-ray, I've heard the deleted scenes and outtakes are priceless. I'm a sucker for genuine comedy with dashes of effective drama.

Sandler's best role in a loooong time, too.

although i'd say it's more a genuine drama with dashes of effective comedy. easily the best writing apatow's done IMO. i loved sandler in it and i love how he doesn't ever formally apologize for being an asshole and there's no neat resolution to him and ira's relationship.

yeah, but it looks severely lacking in jokes. it reminds me a lot of what couples retreat looks like. a solid cast but awful script and execution.
