And going back and listening to Battle Studies...this COULD have been a great album, but it just seems a bit unfinished musically, or something...I dunno. There certainly are some good songs and with even the slightest bit more thought going into the actual music, they could have been great songs.

EDIT: I'll also agree with your above posts to an extent...yes, his crowds are still somehow really annoying, but at least when I saw him he played the hell out of every song. But he does need to shut the fuck up (only time I actually didn't hate what he was saying was when I saw him the day after Leroi died and he was very respectful and teased Lover Lay Down and #34, said some nice things about him and didn't say another word the whole show).

And I 100% agree about Walt Grace and his set variation. I mean shit, I probably wouldn't see him more than once in a tour because of his lack of variety.
what is the deal with WG being too personal? best song.

Yea I was just thinking about what the personal relationship he has with that song could be. Play it already. It's amazing.

I have been listening to this album almost on repeat. It has a great vibe that's nice while working on various projects.

I just downloaded it. Haven't listened yet but from everyone's opinions so far I'm definitely interested. Do you think it's better than Born & Raised?

I wouldn't say it's better, but I enjoy Born & Raised's sound and this is more in that same vein.

I'd say I like the music better in B&R and the vocals better on Paradise Valley. Both very excellent though.

Wow this is really great. And yeah it definitely feels like an extension of B&R. He could just keep putting these types of records out 'till the end and I'd be pleased. Really enjoying this.

Well, I like the little ditty. I image Paul Rudd doing a run up of the notes on an air guitar every time I hear it.

I know he's "slappin da bass" in this, but I image it something like this.

Also, any Led Zeppelin fans out there? I swear the intro guitar part to "On the Way Home' sounds like of one of their songs, but I can't remember and don't have the time to go listen through the songs. It's on the tip of my tongue though!

Dude needs to play Walt Grace live. I'm boycotting his music entirely until it happens. Who's with me!?
