Iím not a huge hip hop fan but definitely tore through Mos Defís catalouge this winter and loved it.

Iím also wanting of more Boss but havenít found my in-roads. Devils and Dust track i think is great. Years ago someone gave me Nebraska which was i enjoyed and was accessible. Maybe Darkness at the Edge of Town is the proper next step?

Also, Workingmanís Dead = the best. You can tweet me on that.

I’m not a huge Springsteen fan, but I enjoy him from time to time. Nebraska was my first step to appreciating his work, but for me The Wild, The Innocent and the E Street Shuffle was the next album I really got into.

Bluewater, how do you decide what albums you're going to listen to? You obviously have a very eclectic (and good) taste in music, I'm just curious what makes you listen to the albums you do on a given day. Sometimes I notice obvious thematic connections but other times it's pretty random.

Well, it probably often depends on the day. I have an unconventional job with an unconventional schedule, which means that my days off work on any given week are almost always Wednesday and Thursday. I have a note on my phone that I pretty continuously update with music that I want to listen to as I think of it, and as my days off come around I usually organize them into two lists that I try to make flow in some sort of logical or musical way. Most other days I have usually picked out something either lighter or jazz/instrumental to start my day, but after that I just kind of listen to whatever I see on my iPod that strikes me in the moment, unless something specific that I want to listen to pops into my head while Iím listening to an album.

that's a good strategy. You definitely help me expand my musical horizons on here.
