You invent imaginary narratives in your head too often. Dave even said early in the tour eventually he wants to play all of them, but will bring them out slowly. And it seems pretty clear that the album is coming out in 2022, so why would they play a bunch of the songs now?

Because he said they would?

Dave said they'd play all the songs by the end of the summer tour? Did I miss something?

In the pre-Sirius show interviews he said that they had played a few and that he expected they might play another 1 or 2.

He said they'd slowly add a few as the tour went on. He wasn't inaccurate on that. We have four songs that have been played. Really, the only one that didn't really add anything was Windows, because the band doesn't have any additions on it.

Here is what confuses me. We had hints of new music last fall. Lots of rumors that the album would be due in Fall of 2021. The tour starts and two new songs are played, three if you count Windows. For a few weeks, Dave talks about how they have been working in the studio. The Only Thing debuts in August, seems natural and that they will slowly unveil new tunes as the tour chugs along. MSG and a couple other Fall dates are added. At this point, things are set up on a tee for a Fall album release. Then... the Fonz/Carter Covid thing happens and all of the new songs disappear. No release announcement and the rumors seemingly die down.

Looks like we have confirmation that the new DMB album is still in the works, but is pushed to 2022.

Matt Norlander following up on his interview with Carter for Modern Beauford. Sounds like Carter will also be on the cover of Modern Drummer if i understand correctly.
Rumors die down as of... October 22nd?

I never thought or expected to see a release in 21.
I wouldn’t be shocked if there wasn’t one in 22 either but there was no way a fall 21 release happened imo. They 100% want it to be bumped up to a tour.

I am wondering if they will release a LT for Christmas.
In my limited research, it seems from announce to ship date is about 6 weeks so if so, it should be soon but since they just released 57 (mine hasn’t even arrived yet) I could see there not being one.

There is always a Christmas release. Get we’ll see an announcement this week. Wonder if it’ll be a 2021 show.

I suspect it will be a recent show. But maybe in the last 5 years or so.

I’d be thrilled with SPAC 2015 but I doubt that’s happening.

Probably either Vegas 2020 or something from this year.

Also wouldn't shock me if it's from this year that it's one without the new songs pre-album.

It'll be from MSG N2 where they play BTCS front to back as the main set and a one-song, 20 minute MacHead encore to finally couple with a BTCS vinyl re-release. You'll see.

Yes! Carter will be tossing BTCS vinyl instead of sticks.

I wouldn't mind the 2 night CO stand:
