Yeah, I'm on that now, and it sucks too, because this, like you said, is so good.....but these little gems are overshadowed by all the suck that was 'Stand Up' as an album.

I'd rather be heading into 93-95 than 05-07. Although you are going to be hearing all the same songs, as good as they are, over and over and over...

Yah... I'm just cracking into '93... the year of True Reflections...

BUT, I did get the first known recording (i think) of the Christmas Song on 12/23/92, second time played. That was pretty shweet.

And of course Halloween is full throttle already, along with Minarets, etc....

So yah, I like where I'm at right now.

Yeah, Crash and Where Are You Going from 6/2/05 were, umm, a breath of fresh air after Dreamgirl, early YMDT, Bayou and Smooth Rider.

ah man, Dave had this cool Zeppelin vocal thing going over the jam in Stand Up on 6/2/05, but about 5 seconds after it started, they went back to screaming 'Stand Up' over and over. Terrible.

OH DEAR GOD OLD DIRT HILL MAKE IT STOP

anyway, moving on to 6/4/2005, the #41 opener is fantastic, Butch sounds fantastic with the straight up piano sound on the keys.

These numbers on the almanac are downright DAUNTING for this show:

Hunger: 3 of 50
Dreamgirl: 3 of 52
Bayou: 3 of 48

Ouch.....

This 12/29/92 Warehouse has a "shortnin' bread" interpolation at the end. Fun stuff.

Love those. I guess that's the first one. There's more in early 93.

I like that 12/29/92 show a lot. That's the one he complains about having indigestion from eating a club sandwich before the show, and says his room-mate got a flat tire on the way over or something like that? I used to listen to that one a lot.

I just listened to the 10/6/04 VFC show from Ames, IA. It's awesome that they give Neil the lead on the 3 songs he did with the band, meaning that him and Dave didnt trade verses. It would also be cool if the band played Watchtower the way they did with Neil, i think it sounds better.
