This is a solid looking show. Looking forward to a tape.

That said... where did the 2020/1 songs go after the Gorge?

Was there specific mention of the new album? We were just discussing in another thread the possibility that the band might be losing interest in the new material since the new songs have somewhat disappeared from the live shows, but your above quote gives me hope they’re not scrapping this album!

It’s good they replaced Seek Up with JTR because that saved 12 minutes which would have meant cutting more songs later.

I mentioned really liking The Only Thing with Carter's interesting drum parts. He said they were really inspired with this one. We then talked about some of the drum recording process things he was doing for this one. I didn't want to pry too much, but it was an honest, uplifting vibe instead of the usual this album is FIRE! we get from the band themselves.

I'm very interested to hear it when it's finally released.

Completely love this set.

Occurred to me that a perfect encore would be :

Some Devil—>
Halloween

This.

90% of the current DMB fanbase have no clue what Typical or what a JTR is.

That's his FU to us for putting in jtr, hello again, recently, and typical.

Also Buddy was their first call to fill in for Carter. Didn't realize it, but drums were his first instrument he learned. Pretty cool.

There’s nothing wrong with Crash in a set. You have to have some pop songs in there.

Not just that, but:

"Dave. It's Coran. Columbus is only 75%. Play Typical and a bunch of other songs that the 10% obsess over. Your sets are crap that don't sell tickets."

Can't say I agree with that. It always seems to get a big pop

very glad to hear that. Seems like the convo made you feel confident that this album will be released and not ditched like so many previous sessions
