Now I wait for the staples to come out so I can get the shrinker sock, then get measured for the prosthetic. Hopefully once I get it, I can do out patient physical therapy and the prosthetic can be adjusted as the swelling goes down in the stump.

Wishing you the best recovery and acquisition of a prosthetic. I’m sorry you had to endure this. That is intense.

Thank you! The situation my left leg has been in my whole life, this might be a blessing in disguise. My lower portion of my left leg has always been twice as large as my right. It seemed like it was slowly getting larger as I grew older. It was at a point where I could only buy wide leg pants and it seemed those were a little tight in the leg. Sad thing is nothing could be done. Now I should be able to wear regular pants once I get the prosthetic. And if youíre curious, the condition I have is neurofibromatosis.

The other day a friend complimented me for “having the courage to go out and dine alone.” It made me think a lot about what that actually means, and how the vast majority of people aren’t at all comfortable in their own skin, and how that can adversely affect their relationships with other people. I eat out alone all the time and never think twice about what other people may think about it. I just don’t care.

Why am I bringing this up? It made me realize that I’ll be single forever if it means never meeting a person that doesn’t share the same mindset. Emotional dependency is such a drug and most people don’t realize how addicted they are to it. The day I meet a woman that isn’t afraid to sit alone in a sandwich shop is the day I think I’ve met my person. You want to find someone that wants you, not needs you. The issue, of course, is they’re stupidly rare.

Until then, table for one, please.

update!

Went to a GI today. He decided not to do a scope since I haven't been sick since I went to the ER. He just thinks I threw up so much that I basically burned a hole in my esophagus and started bleeding. He said if it happens again to come back but until then I'm good
