Speaking of car bombs, I was babysitting for my cousins the other week and when my aunt and uncle came home from the bar they were at for their friends birthday, the first thing my uncle said was "HOLY SHIT I LOVE CAR BOMBS! Why have I never had that shit before?" and then promptly went and made his own car bombs and I naturally had to do a few with him. Absolutely hilarious.

Since we are in the DMBc thread...I was a having a beer earlier today while going through the new DMB site. I put on Raven from Live Trax 3 and am in love with it. I really like Dave's vocal delivery on it. The use of the falsetto throughout the song, especially in the chorus, is great.

Trader Joe's makes a hell of a hefeweizen. That's the one thing I don't miss about PA, I love being able to buy alcohol in grocery stores and gas stations.

ya i wish PA would do that 6 packs at bars are outrageous and around me there are no places close by to get 6 packs, just cases. I need to find someplace that will let you mix and match a 6 pack for like $10.

Does Magic Hat sell sampler packs? Like Sam Adams and Yuengling? I may have to go and see Monday and check it out.

Yea I did the mix and match 6 pack at New Glarus for 8 bucks, it was about a half hour, awesomely scenic, drive away. I worked at a restaurant/bar in Pittsburgh and we just charged people out the ass for 6 packs, it was ridiculous.

I also want to say I've seen a Magic Hat sampler pack before, although I could be wrong. I know I've seen Doghead Fish sampler packs for sure.

I don't know if that's the beer or not, but my buddy from AK was telling me about this beer that is such a ridiculously high ABV content that the only bars that sell it will only give you one beer per night because it's like taking a shot every time you drink it. Can't remember the name for the life of me.

so for the people who have had both of these what do you prefer?

Sam Adams Oktoberfest or Blue Moon Pumpkin Ale

It's close, but I give the edge to Blue Moon personally.

Have had both and neither. I don't really care for either beers (both seasonal and year round) personally.

Shit, I haven't had a Hoegarden in a while, I forgot how good that shit is. And yes I pronounce it wrong, it's funnier that way.

Was it called Alaska Barley Wine?

That was all I can find. Made by the same company.

I still can't see them limiting you to 1 per night though. Does that mean they limit people to one shot per night too?

I like the BMPA but after 2 they are too 'pumpkiney'...if that makes any sense. Its not a beer you can drink all night.

i agree...Harvest Moon(just saw they changed it) I think has a better taste then Sam Adams...the only Sam Adams I will drink is the Winter Lager and Cherry Wheat...if I'm in the mood for it the Summer Ale is enjoyable I just hate buying a case of it tho.
