I found this band the other day and it reminded me of a class I took on world music in college, which was fascinating, and I have been intrigued ever since. For those of us who really like to dig into musical backgrounds after getting into a band, you will love the guitar player. You might first listen and think it's a bunch of noise, but he's got so much theory behind his playing and brings in a lot of different cultural backgrounds.

The drummer is amazing - locks it in the pocket with such ease.

And the bass player has this flirty, infectious vibe when they play live.

I'll put their shows on at night, sit in the dark, and just chill and sip on scotch and groove.

Their debut album, The Universe Smiles Upon You (2015), draws from the history of Thai music in the 1960s, while their second album, Con Todo El Mundo (2018), has influences from Spain and the Middle East.[1]
Here's a nice short interview of them. Mark starts to talk about his influences around the 2:30 minute mark.

Audience really gets into this set:

Con Todo El Mondo was my #30 album of last year. Really unique band. I’ve been meaning to check out the rest of their stuff.
