Come Tomorrow was literally the only time that they tied an album directly to their ticket sales. I get what you're saying, but doing something once doesn't make it a new regular thing.

And, if it being a "B-side" album is in fact part of their marketing, it could almost be treated as just a bonus type of studio release. A half-step if you will.

And listen, I don't know what's going to happen. But I really love the idea of some sort of studio release happening soon.

It's also the only album that they ever released since labels figured out how to steal concert revenue. So, they're one for one on doing it.

RCA isn't going to say, "well, nick really wants a new album, lets not worry about three million dollars in revenue and just release an album now"

mario, not all bands have the following and perennial concert tickets sales as DMB. How is it that they are able to release albums?

They make good music, for one thing. They don't spend as much money on albums and promotion and don't tour on six private jets and eight luxury buses, for another.

But mostly, that's completely irrelevant to the fucking point that RCA isn't leaving money on the table.

And DMB isn't leaving money on the table. At this point, I'm not sure there's a more "just in it for the money" band out there than DMB, so they sure as fuck aren't bypassing millions of dollars in revenue. They have Coran out here lying to people about ticket prices and cut fucking opening acts to make sure they squeezed out every fucking penny they could squeeze, but you obtusely think they'll just release an album effectively for free.

mario, it's no secret that I think you're one of the smartest, kindest, most valued members of this fanbase, but unfortunately I have to disagree with you this time. totally have nothing but respect for your opinion though. time will tell

Yeah, I like that it's just the raw, unedited footage. Some cool, candid moments that you wouldn't normally see.

D&T Mexico starts today.
They sound checked yesterday. It was a bunch of boring songs you’ve heard them play a million times.

I wouldn't doubt that they'll pay an employee or two to hit the button and get them up on Sunday sometime.

Either way, I'm guessing my request for Merriweather was declined, no action on my card at all.

I got charged like $225 for both nights at SPAC. This does not bode well.

Kinda sad there isn't even a thread for an off-season Mexican 3-nighter.
Seriously, nobody cares to talk about this run at all?

I was disappointed too but we all know nothing crazy is happening, tonightís set looks really damn good for a N1 and Iím sure it was well played, but at this point unless they bust out like blue water or something, I donít expect it to get forum attention.

Then what the hell is the point of this forum?
They have to bust out Blue Water at a show for it to warrant discussion? That's pretty sad.
I guess the issue is actually that literally nobody here went to the show or desires to post about it. What drives the show threads is above all the people actually at the show.
