Go see one of your local Dead cover bands, that will scratch the itch just as well. I know there's a great one in the Philly area, name escapes me right now.

gah, where has Sugaree been all my life?

It started with 5/11/77 from the "May 77" but then one of the "best", 5/28/77.

Any other recommendations?

Sugaree is one of Mayer's best with Dead & Co - try the Fenway one from 2016 or the Citi Field one from 2019 (played on Jerry's guitar, Wolf)

Yeah any of those May '77 ones are among the top. One of my personal favorites is 8/27/72 Veneta. No crazy long solos or jam in it, but just a nice tight early version with good vocal delivery from jerry.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Three nice D&C Sugarees (also easily available on Spotify and Apple Music): 11/17/17 Boston, 11/24/17 Detroit and 6/30/18 Eugene.

Best one, IMO, is 5/19/77, Fox Theater, ATL (Dicks Picks 29)

Also, JRAD at the Cap was fucking great last night. Opened 1st set with Catfish John, and 2nd set with Dire Straits' Romeo and Juliet, both debuts for them. And a visibily drunk Jimmy Fallon crashed the stage for the encore with them (Fuckin' Up (Neil Young) > Born To Run > You Can Call Me Al > Hey Jude $$ > Fuckin' Up Reprise) hahaha
