Neither do I. A Dave & Tim '96/'97 LYD is fantastic.

Comparing it to Angel makes me wonder who's up in here.

You gotta read everything man, I said lyrically. They are both trash lyrically.

I read pal, I just have no issues with LYD. Itís delivered very well. Itís heartfelt. Not fake garbage.

Let You Down is not a good song. People give it a pass because it’s old and rare. If it were on Come Tomorrow everyone would be trashing it, and rightfully so.

Edit: it might be interesting to see everyone’s list limited to pre-2001 songs. I imagine Let You Down would be on most lists.

Fun idea. I bet Jimi will be on every list because people have soured on it live. But here's mine:

Let You Down
Satellite
Stay
Crash Into Me
Busted Stuff
Monkey Man
Get In Line
People People
Spotlight
#36
Build You a House (if it counts)

There are songs worse than LYD for sure, but it is one song i have absolute ZERO interest in ever listening to.

It really sticks out on Crash as misplaced to me.

Think so? I dunno, I would think these are among the less popular songs pre-ED. (Just in case you missed it, that's my bottom 10 pre-2001)

I never had a problem with LYD. It's not a great song, I guess you could say it's a "filler" song, but I wouldn't mind hearing it live at all, There's a good 20-30 DMB songs I dislike much much more than LYD.

"I'm a puppy for your love" reads like shakespere compared to "I like my butter with toast and jelly, rather be licking you from your back to your belly".

I generally agree with your posts, but this is a take I canít get behind. Let you down and come tomorrow?! Come on. How ridiculous.

This would be a good follow up thread to this one, I might consider this if there's enough support for it. I could see it being really hard. I might just make it a poll rather than a full blown thread like this.

Fair enough...it's on so many of their live albums, i guess I just associate it with them now.

In that case, I'd replace with Say Goodbye.

I donít think itís on any DMB live album. Are you sure youíre not thinking of The Maker?

Monkey Man? It's one of my all time favourites.

It is on several:

DMBLive - Prism, Memphis, Trax, Mud Island, MSG, Academy
Live Trax - 37(and LT 23/24 w/ Tim)
Solo - Live at Sweetbriar

Guess I have been on a pretty big 1993-1996 kick lately, so it just rang true to me as a more of a "Dave" song. All good...thanks for the reminder that it wasn't...as it gave me a chance to go back and research and listen to the original.
