I remember vividly watching the live stream (how could there be a live stream 17 years ago?). Windows open in my house, blaring the set. I always felt weird about the show. Sort of like it was all rehearsed and non-DMB like. But at the same time, it was cool and exciting. I dunno. This was the beginning of my denouement of dmb. Little Did I know that SU was on the horizon.

I always hated Carter's mixing on the release.

Itís odd, almost like they used area mics onstage a bit too heavily against the close mics. Especially noticeable in the kick. If you have a proper sub itís not as offensive, but it sounds like they area micíd the Stageline.

I remember being at that show. I left work, headed up to the park, exited the subway station somehow skipped a few blocks of the line. Ran into the park when I was given the go and was about midway from the stage, center. Lovely warmish evening. I'm glad they ended with Stay. It was the perfect song to send people home to. I think I got the CDs for Christmas. I remember Bloomberg promoting them as well.

I remember watching the Live Stream too.
At the time I remember wondering if they'd play a Some Devil song or two also, since the album came out the day before.

I remember how choppy the feed was. Two Step was a nightmare, couldn't watch it!

Long lines all around Central Park West. Got off the subway and just got behind a group of people. Apparently we cut the line, unknowingly, and got dead center in the middle of the lawn.

How the fuck is this 17 years old now.

They actually live streamed Live in Chicago way back in '98! You can still find parts of it on YouTube.

Fuck yeah. Remember coming home from college before the dorms had Ethernet and watching on blazing 56k, probably postage stamp size.

Prepare for the most straight up standard set of all time. Hell, that set in 2003 was actually pretty standard considering what they busted out that 2003 tour. Would be a cool setting for a show though.

They aren’t playing the park again anyway. Seem like a pipe dream, just like Red Rock is, and Red Rocks is an actual venue.

That’s pretty cool. Is it a pretty cool design? I’d imagine it’s pretty rare.

I wonder what a 2021 Central Park setlist would look like. My guess would be something like this:

Seek Up
Anyone Seen the Bridge >
Too Much
Louisiana Bayou
Satellite
Minarets
Do You Remember
Crush
Sledgehammer
Dancing Nancies >
Warehouse
Samurai Cop
Grey Street
#41
Why I Am
You Might Die Trying
Typical Situation
Cornbread
Everyday >
Ants Marching
_______________
So Right
Two Step >
Halloween

That felt like a "greatest hits" of all the 4.0 shows I've seen and listened to. Feels right to me.
I also included some songs I'm surprised didn't make the original CP, like Satellite, Everyday, and #41. Seriously, for a classic show, it's weird that #41 isn't there.
