This show was shocking in how creative Dave was willing to be with the set. I think he was writing Some Devil at the time which might be the reason for the creativity. Set the stage for '03 which obviously had some really innovative sets.

Listening to FTT now. Great version. So much confidence, which he didn't have on every song at this show.

Funny how he prefaces it with "Y'all may not like this song, but I do." Save that for the songs we actually hate

Do you suppose it's the seeds of Dreamgirl we're hearing in this #41?

Dave seemed a lot more creative with sets alone in this period. I remember he had some nice choices at Bridge too, and only repeated no superman, or whatever WAYG's early title was.

Back then I don't think Fool To Think was very popular at all.

Yeah, it was an Everyday song being played in 02. He knew the venom many of us had for that album.

Watching FTT again. So sad about the '01 event, it was done wrong in so many ways. If Dave would have played the songs like this and fans could have heard it in this light, I think would have had a different reaction. oh well...

He didn't play Bridge that year. Spring '02 was the comeback tour. Summer '02 was awesome. And then after that Dave played some boring, solo sets...Benayora was a holy fuck show because it was so creative. Like I said, probably because Some Devil was being recorded and he was really into the music, and maybe that rolled into the great '03 sets.

This show is just awesome and a pure gem in the DMB live catalog. This is also probably my favorite DVD to watch.
