I was just coming on to post this. So nice to have a fully mixed great sounding version of this classic show.

BTW, for anyone so inclined, I just got an email from HD Tracks saying that [Only registered users can see links.] . I hadn't heard any mention they'd be offering these in hi res.

So distracting. Like a small child slamming a toy keyboard.

I gotta say... $54 for the hi-res version of a show from 1990 isn't my idea of a bargain...

So, instead I went to the record store today to pick this up [03/29/90] ALONG with Reckoning.... its been long enough already.

Oh fuck yeah, if you hadn't heard Reckoning until now, it's been way too long

And yeah, as far as 3/29/90, I'm fine for now enjoying the version I grabbed on iTunes on my way to work yesterday morning

Yeah... I've been saying it for months... the story about going to the store and holding Reckoning in one hand and Without A Net(?) in the other and not choosing Reckoning...
Not that WAN is bad... but I've been wanting Reckoning since then (I think that was back at the beginning of the DMB tour because we related it to that; i.e. acoustic release)... anyway, finally grabbed it today.

Also, quick note, didn't realize that back in August was my '1-Year Dead Birthday'... I can't believe its already been a year since you sent me those tracks.

I know you know this already, but 1970 is where that's at

I'm listening to the 3.29.90 Dark Star now for the first time in a while, after listening to a bunch of '72 versions recently. Man, '72-73 Dark Stars are simply where it's at.

Random thought. Why was Bruce's stay with the band so short lived? Say what you want about 90's Dead, but I really enjoy his particular sound on the piano and his interplay with the rest of the band.

Except when he gets on an accordion, obviously.

Was listening to a show from '70 for the first time the other day, 11/8/70 at the Capitol Theater.

Today though, I'll be listening to the Complete Europe 72 Frankfort show from 04/26/72, in honor of its original release under the 'Hundred Year Hall' title on this day 19 years ago (thank you trusty Dead calendar)... also the first release after Jerry's passing.

truly one of the all-time greats

plus, the "19 years ago" thing makes me feel real old, as a lot of things do these days . I remember buying this while living in NYC in my mid-20's, and vividly remember listening to it while tailgating at a Jets MNF (or maybe Sunday night) shortly after it's release
