When I saw this thread, I definitely thought it was an old one topped

A 2019 DMB podcast? Interesting.

Good luck, Matt!

We should have a poll to decide who it is

Either mario or gweeps would make good guests, methinks

Interesting to see the 6/17 show highlighted. Those Roi clips were indeed fantastic. I remember that show being an out of tune Boyd disaster, am I misremembering? I remember it being mostly unlistenable. Bartender intro sounded like a fly buzzing around in your ear.

Great episode though, enjoyed all of the chatter and topics. You both do a great job!

i listened to the first episode and enjoyed it. As far as DMB fans go, there is a ton of material and topics to cover. Good luck.

Appreciate the support! And you're right Sean, Boyd was absolutely all over the place. And Dave kept forgetting lyrics. That show reminded me how much I miss Roi and his sound.

Sorry man. I don't know why I thought your name was Matt. My bad. Either way though, good luck!

No worries man! I thought there was some kind of tdc inside joke going on about Matt from Ants lol.

But anyways, I'm Nolan. And we've got Episode 3 out now. We recap last week and focus on Mansfield and Hartford and play some of the highlights. "Today in DMB History" we went with the 6.24.2000 Deer Creek N3 show. They were on fire that night. Really cool version of SUAD and some major Boyd highlights. Here's the link if anyone is interested and thanks again for the support!

I love that Crash especially from that show. One of my favorites. The Sweet Up was a stage sound calamity. Cool one. Super stormy that night and all weekend.

That Crash is awesome. Dan Myers and Roi really tear up the end of that set. I'll never understand why SUAD fell to the wayside, could've been a great single for the band and live staple. Hoping it makes an appearance soon.

If you're looking for something to listen to this week or over the 4th, we've got our 4th episode out now. Highlights from Deer Creek and a bittersweet "Today in DMB History" segment, Jeff Coffin's first show with the band - 7.1.08. Jeff blew the roof off the place in Charlotte that night and we play a lot of the highlights.

Bonus: Mr. 400 - Not sure if anyone on here knows him but it was Michael DiPonio's 400th show at SPAC N2 so we talked with him for a bit.

The Corner of Grey Street Podcast

400?! He’s been to nearly as many shows as Dave

He’s easily got 30-40k into shows alone at this point (on the low end). More if he’s doing seats. No, more than that. I cant even calculate with travel/lodging/food. This dude could’ve paid for a house already!

The ep highlighting the 1993 show was great. Excellent work.

So. Many. Shows. He tells the story on the pod but he met Carter once and his buddy told CB he was in the 300s and Carter responded "you've been to more shows than me!" Lol. We actually met up with him in the lots in Charlotte and he's a really good dude! I'm sure people on here have probably seen or run into him at some point over the years.

Thanks! It's crazy hearing Dave's voice back then. My wife didn't believe that that was actually Dave singing haha.

We just did another interview in the lots before the show on Friday that we put out today. We're calling it "Tailgate Talk" and play highlights from previous shows at that venue. A lot of cool stuff from Charlotte over the years.

If there's anything the almanac can do to help, let us know.

Thanks for listening...and just to clarify again, I'm Nolan and Bruce is the other co-host.

Fun Fact: Matt from Ants actually told us we weren't allowed to promote our podcast over there. He seemed to not like the competition with their podcast. So thanks everyone for being cool with it over here!

We would love to interview you at some point. We had been talking about doing an entire offseason episode dedicated to the almanac if you'd be cool with it.

And for your listening pleasure, here's a link to Episode 7 - Rain Down On Me. Pretty fun actually getting to go to a show (CLT) together and discussing it after on the pod. Even recorded a little bit during the weather delay and our reactions to JTR opening the "second set."
