I just picked this out from the DMB store and got it this week, I have to say listening to it almost makes me wish I hadn't missed the tours from 05-10(alpine especially of course). The DVD is kind of boring though, only a few good performances amongst a bunch of better choices they could have made.

Thumbs up

Will never forget seeing that opening 3 songs on 9/12.. was a beautiful evening. 3 songs that hadn't been in rotation. Then the next 74 minutes were a complete kick to the balls. However listening to back to the release, EWU comes across good/jammy and carters work on this ABI was f'in incredible

This weekend was just a total mashup of highs and lows. Some really really great stuff (Time of the Season, still the best Stone from a crowd participation point of view, the opening runs of N3 and N4, solid performances of a lot of songs) and some real crap (Bayou x4, the entire 2nd half of N4 save Exodus, it being 05 so 1/3 of the songs were Stand Up).

Didn't hurt that my 21st birthday was N3.

If they shortened it up a bit so the verses/chorus weren't so repetitive and played it more seldom mid-set, I actually wouldn't mind if Bayou came out here or there this tour. I always enjoyed the jam/outro to the song.

This Hello Again is still amazing. But man, Dave sounds like shit near the end. And the weird edit...

Two Step is intense.

There are worse songs on Stand Up, but this one is just so brutally bad in it's attempt to be a political protest song that I can't deal with it. I get the same cringe reaction to the lyrics that a lot of people have with Dive In.

When I listen to it, all I can picture is everyone I went to law school with claiming the end of the world coming because of the 2004 election results.

at least it's still vague enough that it can be listened to now and not sound completely dated.
