i agree ... the fuck up sucks cause it would definitely be the best version without it. i do prefer CP bonus because of it... and 4.7.02 debut contends too

always thought 4-7-02 was overhyped and overrated.

that's fair. i mean, just as with anything regarding this band, it's all context. that spring tour, coming off '01, was a complete godsend. and 4.7.02 is the big one from that tour i think. considering it included the debut of the song that brought us back to the old days, when many of us thought it we'd never get back there, the hype might be a bit high.

It's hands down one of the most important debuts in this band's history. It's not even debatable.

sure as far as the context of that whole situation goes. but the actual performance of the song is sloppy. i know it's the first performance and i don't expect it to be perfect, but i also don't think it's the greatest performance of it just because it was the debut performance and re-affirmed our belief in the band.

But that's exactly where the hype comes from. Whenever people talk about that performance, it's pretty much the majority of the focus by whoever is praising it. The song didn't tighten up to a perfect structure 'till about a few shows into July that year. I don't think 4/7 is the best, but it's certainly not a bad performance.

7/26/02, 8/10/02, 7/9/03 (CP Bonus) are top 3, imo.

warehouse on wotr is one of the best released

stone had one of the if not first wise men outro (crowd only i think)

9/11/05 remains my fav of 120+ dmb/dt/df shows. the energy was just ridiculous. crowd was highly concentrated of huge fans. pig opener, halloween by request into butterfly. just a great show and they didnt touch many if any of my fav tunes. hard to believe that 05 may have been in the midst of the tough times for band interpersonally. i thought 05 was great playing and daves short speech at n4 of rr seemed to talk about what a great year it had been for them....

yeah, i really feel like that song needs to be explored more... problem is, there are a gazillion songs I'd rather them hear first.

but i've always really liked Wake Up. wish dave would have played electric on it. would make the end really cool.

#41 is one of the worst versions I've heard from RR. Rashawn basically ruins it for me. It was so bad that I had it playing in my car, Rashawns part comes up where he is playing the really high pitched notes and my mom just reached over and hit next song I was like good thing you did because I was about to also
