100% agree, this was my biggest complaint with the album after my 1st listen

I actually like it cuz it's different. I also like Dave's vocal "ticks" in the background.

Same here, really wish this tune made the album, but at the same time, I really wish he did something different with the "Hold Me Down" riff...it seems like such an afterthought/cop-out just tacking it on the end.

Terrific performance.

And Stay or Leave (the song, not so much the recording) is easily one of the best songs he's written post 2000. A real gem.

I agree. Hasn't stopped him from using it again though. Technically, the verse is the Little Thing chorus (in a different key obv)

I'm pissed that Too High and Dodo don't get full-band DMB play.

Agreed. I wonder what leads them to ignore songs like this that would obviously be amazing full-band?

I'd tell him to find another band to leach off of.

Dodo is good no matter what the weather. I'll fucking cruise into the middle of an elementary school playground, windows down, shit eating grin with that tune playing. Wouldn't mind me one bit. Any other song in the world would make me feel like an inconsiderate prick trash loser. I like Dodo that much.

I listened to it again. Dave's vocal phrasing on "Baby" is awful, too. He sounds retarded in places: "a ship in a boh-ul set sayal."

I hate Baby, but I don't hear the poor phrasing so much. Or the glottal stop.

I wasn't a fan of the band before I heard this version of Grey Street. That song made me go and listen to a full band album.

Same way I got into the band. Once I heard Two Step on Luther, I went and listened to it on Listener Supported..

Am I this late to the game (again), or is this something a lot of us have missed before?

"An' Another Thing" is the DOOF reprise...

Yeah, he uses the chorus of Little Thing in the bridge of DOOF (on baritone but I think its voiced the same if I remember right) and the verses of Cigarette Lit (raised up obviously).

It's pretty common I think for writers to have certain progressions they use quite a bit. Neil Young especially.

You do realize it's the same song as Little Thing too, right?
