What album are you listening to?

The station I listen to around here has been playing one from that album a lot and I've enjoyed it quite a bit. I'll have to check it out.

So how do we handle listening to vinyl albums? Do we post that in here or in the vinyl thread?

They're like any other album, just the vinyl format.

Yep, another good one. In fact, the whole album is very listenable from start to finish.

I'd say here. Unless there's a vinyl-specific comment (such as how badass Steve Miller Band's records sound on vinyl.) I usually use the vinyl thread for new purchases, finds, equipment questions, etc.

Harry Nilsson's 1971 album. He was a great songwriter and singer from the '60s and '70s (In one Beatles press conference both Lennon and McCartney named him their favorite artist). You'd know some of the songs from this one (Without You was very successfully covered by Mariah Carey and everybody knows "You put the lime in the coconut.." although both of those songs are not exactly representative of the album, other to show how all over the place it is). LCD Soundsystem also does a great version of Jump Into the Fire, if you know them. He later recorded an album called Pussycats that was recorded almost entirely while drunk and high with John Lennon during his "Lost Weekend" year. You should check him out, he's pretty great.
