Is Van Morrison's "Astral Weeks" a must-have for my music collection? I've never knowingly listened to it or heard any of the tunes from it. My only experience with the musician is the "Moondance" album and I really liked it.

It's more jazz than the Celtic folkiness of Moondance, and it's not as accessible, but it's a brilliant album with some great songs on it. Give a few songs a listen on YouTube or something, but I'd certainly recommend it. Speaking of which, I haven't listened to it in a really long time.

Yeah, that's what I'd usually do, but I think subconsciously, hearing how sublime of an album it is, I wanted to experience it as a whole instead of breaking it into bite sized pieces. I think part of me also just wanted to buy it sight unseen (so to speak) given the reputation it has, but kinda needed a bit of a nudge. Apparently, I've already made up my mind. Thanks for the feedback.

Maybe I'll have to check that out. I enjoyed their first one, but it had no legs for me. I got bored with it really quickly.

I think it's fantastic, but judge for yourself right here:
