Once the requests close for the 2018 tour and everyone has been confirmed or denied, then and only then the album title will be released. If the album title is Be Yourself, this album and the tour is doomed.

Would be 100% fine with no new studio stuff. I’m here for the nostalgia.

To be clear I am sure an album is coming in time for the tour. Just thought it seemed weird to Announce a new album in conjunction with tour dates, but not even know what the thing is going to be called yet. Odd promotion.

Sure, I feel the same, but that seems different than actively hoping there will never be an album again and being disappointed if one is released.

Not rooting against it, but would be fine with it. Will be fine with this too, hope itís on the Big Whiskey/Away level, which is probably the best we can hope for. I just donít need it to keep going to 1-2-3 shows a year.

100% agree. New album just means sets will be watered down.

No way they release that. Pure trash. Imagine how bad some of those songs would sound in studio.

I’ve definitely said that I don’t care if they ever release another album. I’m pretty sure that I’ve never said that I hoped they didn’t, but if you put a quote in front of me where I did, it wouldn’t really surprise me. Given this band’s position for the past few years, my faith in new music is very low.

Remember when Away From the World released? If I recall, expectations were low because the music that had been played already was generally underwhelming. Many were hoping for something on par with the first three albums (and that’s what Lillywhite tweeted).

Belly Belly Nice
Gaucho
If Only
Mercy
The Riff
Sweet

the album was pretty much as good as it could have gotten with the unheard songs being solid or great

Broken Things
Drunken Soldier
Snow Outside
Rooftop
Belly Full (throwaway)

Sugar will is an empty husk of its former self, don't even want it on the album. Crazy easy seemed pretty finalized a few years ago - that could be a pleasant surprise.
