1999 Dave & Tim

with all the talk about their best year touring and having no compliation for it (i dont think there is one) i thought it will be a good idea to make one up... some people dont like comp's and all but every year there's one popping up... i recently went back and did best of winter 98, so i thought to do one for dave & tim 1999... good idea or no?

I'm listening to 1/20/99 now, and I didn't want to make a new thread. What is the best sounding "spoon" we have?

check out 2/17/99 Spoon also. great recording, played on 12 strings as they sort of spontaneously play it after Wild Horses.

probably did. that was the first, a great version, and a great recording. That's on the things to do list for the almanac, go through and see what was on the 12 and what wasn't for Spoon that tour.

I think the '97 SBD shows are the best D&T recordings there are. 2-14-97 and 1-30-97 sound even better then Live at Luther College!

I disagree. As much as I love those shows, the Luther Colege Warehouse sounds like it was mixed in the studio. That track is one of the finest mixed tracks we have.

the little outro right before "that's my blood down there", even though is only about 25-30 seconds, is my favorite music in the world.

Hey random question, was the early 1/27/99 benefit show always known? For some reason I don't remember ever noticing that on the almanac before tonight
