Wow, lots of covers.
Also, genuinely surprised it took this long for Typical to appear.

Looks like this could be best of the tour.

So far, Dave and Tim have played over 70 songs this tour, not counting Dave's solo versions of Some Devil or Tim's solos. Impressive.

It would be even more if they also played some of the songs they did in Europe.

All in all a great mix of songs between the two tours.

Yep, top 3 at worst, right there with Mann N2 and Holmdel.

No double encore. Sick show! Spoon would have been nice, but it's ok.

Swap out OOMH for Spoon, and it's the undisputed champ.

In terms of the 2-nighters on this tour, I think this is obvious:

Philly + SPAC >>>>>>>>>>>>> Nashville + Chicago

In terms of Philly vs SPAC, here are the songs that did not overlap from both weekends:

Philly:

Little Red Bird
You Might Die Trying
Gravedigger
Lying in the Hands of God
The Song That Jane Likes
Spoon
Death on the High Seas
Stay (Wasting Time)
Oh

SPAC:

Where Are You Going
Virginia In the Rain
Little Thing
When the World Ends
Grace is Gone
Long Black Veil
The Maker
Melissa
Typical Situation
Halloween

Seems like SPAC wins out, based on that. Though getting Spoon was definitely pretty huge in Philly. As for the rest, I guess it depends on how big a fan of those covers you are.

At any rate, gotta say, D&T blew away my expectations this tour. Very happy with how this all played out and kind of sad there's only 1 show left. The only shame is that the US missed out on Dodo.

Philly only really has "Spoon" over SPAC.

Yup. I mean, I gotta say, YMDT and LITHOG were surprising highlights of Philly n1. STJL too. But given the option, I probably would've picked Melissa, Halloween, Typical, Maker, and Long Black Veil. Spoon was the biggest get of Philly for me, so I hate the thought of giving that one up. Tough call overall for me, to be honest. The performances were so incredible too in Philly.
Curious how the performances were tonight. Because obviously that counts for a lot.

I'm shocked SPAC got away with no DOTHS or Gravedigger. Lucky.

Spoon is the only thing missing really. Shame it hasn't been played at SPAC since '03. Thought we had a decent chance at #40 too but that would've just been bonus.

And it's not over yet. There's a show tomorrow in Maryland. Hope they get the best of SPAC + Spoon & The Dreaming Tree.

Great show, but I guess I'm not a D&T fan. I don't think I would go to any shows if they hypothetically did this next summer

OOMH sedated the crowd for Save Me and BOWA. The Tim solo spots got HUGE applause

Yeah. Spoon is pretty special. Personally, before Philly, I hadn't caught it since MSG 2008 - and that one didn't have the outro. Before that, hadn't seen it since 2003. I've seen Melissa, Maker, Long Black Veil, Typical, and Halloween (and Dreaming Tree) at least a couple times each in the last decade.
