Would there be an expectation that the digital download associated with the record would be the remaster work ?

Unfortunately it is not. It's the same as the original CD.

The vinyl sounds fantastic, however.

I picked this up the other day. Asked if the $81 price tag was negotiable and they gave it to me for $71.

I haven't bought any of the Live Trax releases on vinyl and don't really intend to, but if they release Luther College, Listener Supported, and/or Live in Chicago, I'll probably get them.

At this point all I want on vinyl is BTCS, Luther College and the Lillywhite Sessions.

If Everyday is released on Vinyl and it is mastered specifically for vinyl I might consider that too.

But that's it. This isn't going to be an ongoing forever thing for me. I'll keep buying just about every Live Trax they put out, but it will all be digital for me at that point.

A mastered Lillywhite Sessions would just be spectacular.

A re-mastered LWS with all the missing tracks/outtakes is the only thing I'd really want from a collector's standpoint. I want soundchecks, hidden tracks, songs that didn't make the album, B-Sides etc. I have no interest in buying an album I already have, even if it's "remastered". And I personally think Vinyl is just a reinvented trend, it's going to fade again eventually. Does it sound better? Yes. Is it a pain in the balls and I will most likely only listen to it once or twice? Yep. I'm only 28, so I'm in the young crowd here, but just give me files that I can put onto my phone or device or better yet, put it up for streaming. I'm all about it.

Local record store had the RR black vinyl for 70$, so I picked it up today, mainly to support them. Really cool guys and they treat me well on RSD.

The remastering on this is stellar.

The only thing I will ever care about is the studio take of Blue Water.

Like that Beatles' Carnival of Light outtake, I wonder why it hasn't seen the light of day yet.

They're saving it for a boxed set I bet.

When was the studio version of "Blue Water" recorded?

Around the time some of the R2T tracks were recorded. Dave mentioned it in an interview in '94. I think it was for a Virginia student newspaper.

thank you for sharing this. I wasn't even aware that they recorded the song. I'm really excited now at the possibility of it being released one day.

P.S. Check your PMs

Do we have any indication that recording still exists?

That's awesome to hear. Too bad that never leaked with the rest of the demos from that era that circulate

The only way I ever see a mastered LWS released is if the band calls it quits, it could be released down the road. But I don't ever see it happening.

They already released the anniversary edition, that would have been the time to do it. Don't see this happening either.

Rumor on Ants is that Luther College will be out on vinyl for Black Friday RSD.
