8/5 cornbread wasn't really slowed down. seems about the same as 8/4. this song kicks all sorts of ass, especially now that they have an actual ending

It feels like its slower, but its the same speed I think. Almost like Carter stopped doing as much

i didn't read the whole thread, so it might've been mentioned, but does the full band cornbread remind anyone of a revamped/reworked joyride?

You know what I'd love to see develop here: a full on #36 type Carter solo to kick this off.

I still love it. It felt like the first version was almost out of control fast. This one feels tighter.

There are parts in this song where the late day DMB (stand Up DMB) is noticeable however it is counterbalanced so well with real musicianship it is impressive. I assume this one was written in the studio with Batson before the whole thing ( the sessions) turned into a shitshow

I like this song

Nice...listening to 8/5. Boyd fits REALLY well layering over the riff.

You know, like the door stops. It just sits there. Doesn't even hang. You can flick it, and it just makes the noise "brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrring".

Shit, it's good to hear some bass on this. Nice work from Boyd and the horns too. Extended Carter/Dave intro would be awesome.

Shit, it's happening again. Cornbread, #27, IOY, and Shotgun would make a great core for a new album. God, PLEASE don't screw this up again DMB...

I just listened to the 8/5 version and that definitely sounded tighter and not too much slowed down. I loved it, but I'm biased, because I have loved this song since I first heard it D&T. I especially like how this ended on 8/5, so good.

That's it, Sir.
I understand.

Love it. I've always tried to be optimistic about the recent years, but I'm begining to believe myself. As, already stated, there is massive potential for a new album.

I would love to hear what Bela could do on this song. I think he would tear it up.

I'm kind of not feeling this song, and i'm what some would call a "DMB Ballwasher". I just can't get into it.

I agree with you. It's catchy, but it seems kinda generic.
