That's odd it took so long. I received my discs on Saturday.

And to answer my earlier question, it definitely sounds better than the existing boards we had, most noticeably in the vocals.

Saw Mayer last night. Friend of the Devil on piano to close the show. Picture of Jerry on the screen with Ripple playing on the PA after.

In case you missed it - pretty big upgrade to 11/6/77 uploaded a few days ago. Much more clarity and separation.

Listening for the first time in years and this remains not one of my favorites from 77. Gets a ton of love from others, though.
Certainly worth the listen regardless. Weird to say but the Mexicali>Uncle transition is a definitely highlight of the first set.

Oh nice. Wasn't aware of that. Thanks.

Great Half-Step in this show (which was par for the course in '77).

After watching Long Strange Trip a few times one of my favorite parts is the guy telling the Dew story from Europe 72. Obviously the content of the story but the way he told it I felt like I was there as well.

I should know the guys name, but can't remember it. He was in the sound area by himself and there was a mic stand on stage that needed attention. He left the sound area (booth, board, room not sure what it was) went on the stage to fix the mic stand stayed on the stage to watch and listen instead of running back to the area he was in and Jerry caught him. Once he got back to the sound area, everything was still working properly.

I'm sure someone else can give this story a better recap or provide the date of this Morning Dew besides a generic Europe 72...

It was the lyceum theatre show and, as jeff said, he was alone in the recording truck looking after the reels. He was not suppossed to leave hos post, but he basically had to. The Dew was so beautiful he was just in a trance. Jerry, who iirc had tears in his eyes, saw him (knew he wasn't suppossed to be there) but recognized he recognized the moment. Flashforward months later Jerry is helping put Europe '72 together andthe sound guy (who was part of the family) walks theough the room. Jerry says, "hey squirrel (or whatever his name was), Lyceum Dew is the last track. There was no one in the truck!"

Anyway, track down the clip, it's worth it.
