For the past few weeks I think I've heard a song from High Violet once every day. Something about it really gets me. And Daydream Nation just rocks. I'd kill to play guitar like Thurston Moore.

I also have been listening to the new Mavis Staples album, the one produced by Jeff Tweedy. Really great songs, and she's got a great voice. Almost stole the weekend when I saw her at Lollapalooza.

i could listen to Bloodbuzz Ohio, Afraid Of Everyone, and Runaway every day for the rest of my life. Runaway has such a phenomenal melody and delivery from matt through the whole thing. the "go ahead go ahead, throw your arms in the air tonight/shirts in the fire tonight" part crushes me every time without fail.

i've been snowboarding to Alberta Cross's Broken Side of Time. it's quickly becoming my fav on the slopes.
