If it is an IEM, could be Stefan's IEM, I remember reading he prefers listening mainly to the rhyhtmn section so he can be locked into the groove...which would explain why you hear a lot of Carter ,Dave and Tim in the mix. But if it's an IEM..then it's one of the best sounding IEM's i've ever heard.
It's clean because it's recorded before going out over the air like the iems you find floating around.
Check out Vic's ddtw and shake me vids, they have horns but they also have the band talking to each other that you don't get in a sbd mix.
So I agree it's a bad mix but still think that it's an iem mix

Love those VF videos, and surprisingly love BT in that Bismarck video.

The soundboards thread has got me listening to some older tapes again (early 2000s stuff mainly). Such a shame that I was far too young to experience that era of the band.

At least you appreciate it.

There are degenerates on Ants that are saying that the 2003 dave and tim tour was better than 1999.

Very good point, only the people who put it out probably know. Either way, it sounds really good. If the mix and levels were spot on, it'd be a great recording. It's fine though, I'm very confident we'll get plenty of professionally mixed live releases of Bismarck in the very near future.

Almost a year since the Cville show. Comparing how I feel right now about DMB vs. how I felt after that Cville show is like night and day. That Cville show was a pure reminder of why I love this band (the good new song debuts, the liberations, the crazy encore, the fans, the energy). And this year there's no DMB at all, and interest is extremely low. And they didn't even take those quality new songs and make a new album with them (yet). Just feels like they've lost their way, when the road is staring them in the face. They could take literally 5 songs from that one show (SC, Bob Law, Bismarck, Sugar Will, VITR) and have half a great album right there. But instead they're taking a year off. Bah.

I do feel lucky at least that I got to have one huge "special"-feeling show in 2016 though with that Cville one. For me that was one of those rare shows where you reach a awesome point of "wow, what the hell is going on!!?" because there's just constant surprises throughout the night, coupled with great performances.

I hope D&T at least do some inspiring stuff this summer that makes us look forward to next year.

I agree entirely. My interest in DMB is at an all time low.

Caught the R&R HOF special on HBO last night. Pearl Jam was given final billing and played Alive, Given to Fly, Better Man and finished off with Rockin' in the Free World with some fellow inductees and other guys in the house that night (Alex Lifeson, for one).

Thought about DMB's eventual induction. If it's given the same closing slot, among all the inductees in that year, and has time for four songs, think this is the best bet?

I don't see DMB being the headlining act if they get in... I also don't think it's a 100% given that they get in.

They're 10000000% getting in. Their resume is insane. Just touring alone, but they have debuted more albums at #1 than the fucking beatles.

It's a lock that DMB, one of the all-time most successful touring acts and a band that has appeared on Rolling Stone many times over the years, gets in.

As for being headliner, that's just a matter of who else gets in during the same year. Very few potentially eligible acts would have a bulkier resume and bigger pull come 2019/2020 — in part because DMB, like Pearl Jam, is likely to still be a touring entity at the time of its induction.

One potential inductee/challenger, Radiohead, will almost certainly be going in in its first year of eligibility, and will beat DMB by one year (Pablo Honey was released in 1993).

Other artists floating near DMB's timeline: Bon Jovi, Doobie Brothers, Oasis, Foo Fighters, Counting Crows, Snoop Dogg, Notorious B.I.G., Weezer.
